It is the start of the big Obon holiday in Japan! At AVO we started the holiday off with the big Subaru event at the Super Autobacs in Shinonome, Tokyo - the most famous Super Autobacs in Japan. We brought the new 08 Impreza and the AVO STI widebody race car to display, along with the latest and greatest goods.
In fact, we already had a bit to show off on the new Impreza! AVO has a new top mount intercooler for it, along with a BOV that fits the AVO top mount or a stock top mount. An AVO high-flow panel air filter was fitted as well, but a little bit harder to see. Underneath, the new AVO center pipe and exhaust was fitted. It sounds great now with a nice throaty growl, letting you know that the engine is there and doing it's job. It feels stronger as well, with even more torque that comes in faster. It's even easier to drive as you can loaf along at low rpm's and it still picks up quickly and goes when you need it.
We've also got a new adjustable 21mm solid front stabilizer bar for the Impreza! With AVO stabilizer endlinks on, it certainly helps cure the body roll quite a bit. The standard front bar is a 20mm bar and the rear is 15mm. Soon we will have a rear stabilizer bar as well, which should sort out all body roll issues. Performance lowering springs are currently in the process of being created, and for more hardcore users, coilovers are currently being designed as well. Yet our overall goal is towards a very streetable package, as we feel that people interested in circuit-level suspension setups will be getting the STI model.
