Easternats 2009 was to be a bit more of a fun event for the AVO team with no dyno competition and just the drags on Easter Monday being the only competitive event. Even the drags without a prepared track and just grudge matches was just to be for the guy with the most traction.
Angelo & Jason decided to take the AVO VX Twin Turbo Commodore out for the weekend. The first 2 days were just cruising among the hundreds of other cruisers. Plenty of burnouts and sideways action. Just a weekend for having the name “AVO” out and about. On the Monday, we entered into the drags but was eliminated in round 4 . We got the right lane which was the worst and had wheelspin issues for the first 4 gears. Dragged the opponent after giving them a huge headstart and just lost on the line. Oh well, it was a good fun weekend.
