There is more to Easter than that chocolate bunny! For those of us with motor oil in our veins it means Easternats. And it was a good turnout this year, with plenty of cars and even more people. AVO had a good presence this year with many cars featuring AVO performance products. Some standouts made a real impact, such as the record breaking EA Falcon and the Twin Turbo Holden Maloo Ute. A great weekend of drags, burnouts and sensational looking cars.
Tony Granic's EA Falcon put out an impressive 465 horsepower at the wheels. Yet this wasn't enough for Tony, with more work to come! Stay tuned for 500 plus! Ky's Ute ran on the dyno Sunday morning, registering even more with 580 horsepower at the wheels and earning himself a top five finish in the Dyno Shootout.
Ky also entered the Drag Shootout on the Sunday, this was a head to head elimination which means if you get beaten over the line you are out. Ky got to the 6th round and was still there. On his 7th run which was now down to the last dozen or so cars, Ky got off the line well and was even with his opponent with the Ute about to really kick in and the automatic blew up. A bit of bad luck but a great effort by Ky - well done.
