With the heat of Melbourne turning it up, we had another great AVO Dyno Day, this time it was the VICWRX Club's turn to give the dyno a workout. It turned into a huge event with a turnout of over 30+ cars with everything from your RS Liberty's to 06 STI's and even an XY GT. The day started off quick and steady with constant power figures in the 130-220 rwkw range, until just after lunch time when a FPV(Ford Performance Vehicle) GT with a stock Boss 290 unloaded 229kW of rear wheel power on the rollers.
This caused unrest as the Ford had the highest power on a WRX day so far. The rest of the Subaru's spent the day trying to beat this figure as they didn't want to ruin it with a ford winning. Some cars came close, but no cigar, so just to put the Ford in it's place, we put one of our customers vehicle on the dyno that we are currently taking care of. It quickly did an easy 233 rwkw, slamming thee door on the Ford and making the Subaru boys and girls very happy.
