Testing of the Impreza S-GT continues here at AVO in Japan. Known as the WRX in America, it's been an interesting project from the start. We've added our AVO TMIC and BOV to it, an AVO flat panel air filter, cat-back exhaust, and center pipe to the mix. We have dyno tested it at all times and are quickly getting all the data on the upgrades. Two dyno charts are included that give an idea on how the modifications performed.
The ECU on the new Impreza is a bit interesting, as we add on the parts it tends to start richening the a/f up. This limits the amount of power you can get from just bolting in the parts - like always before, a good tune will give you the most benefits out of your aftermarket parts. But even more so than before.
Next to go on is a high-flow downpipe with AVO's interchangeable cast bellmouth housing and high-performance sports catalyzer. It is also at the suspension engineers at the moment, when it comes back it should look a lot lower to the ground, and a lot nicer. Not to mention handling a lot better.
