No typo there, we have just finished testing the newest turbo for the Legacy GT/Outback XT family. One of the primary reasons AVO crashed the Rallitek party was to get this initial testing done, and we are pretty excited about the figures we finally reached on this quick spool version of the AVO Edge series ball-bearing turbocharger for the Legacy/Outback. Simply enough, the AVO380 LGT is a hybrid of the AVO420LGT compressor housing with a AVO 3-4 exhaust housing designed for the Legacy GT. |

Ross at AVO Turboworld in Japan has been busy working on getting the famous AVO FMIC for the Legacy to fit on the newer 07+ Legacy models with the air pump on the right side of the engine. This car was saw a recent install of our FMIC. We accomplished this install by using a smaller, high-performance battery to give it some additional room on that side. This actually made for a cleaner install under the JDM battery cover, as it gave more space all around. |

In our quest to build the ulltimate upgrades for your automobile, we spend an lot of time in R&D on our parts. Thanks to our office in Japan, we get hold of the latest parts and news from that end of the Pacific as soon as it comes out. One interesting find was the new bodykit from Liberal for the 08 WRX Hatch. We fitted one to our Japanese hatch, and were so impressed with fit and finish that we decided to send it over to America and test fitment here. We've found in the past that Subaru just has to change something, even something minor, when they bring it to American shores. So Ross in Japan sent one set over in the latest sea freight shipment, and then I took it down to Rallitek in Portland, Oregon, to test it on their shop car. |

After the pace we set at Heathcote last time we knew that we had to get back out there and try again. So round came another Friday night and we set off to Calder Park Raceway for some Legal Off Street Drag Racing. We were keen to beat the time we set last time for the VX at 11.1 at Heathcote Park.
With the VX Utilizing our bolt on twin turbo kit through a stock 346ci engine, at full weight shifting a factory 6-speed manual trans. The weight with driver and a full tank of fuel is 1803kg.
The night started off with a good run of 11.36 at 128.13mph. The best was yet to come, however. |

WRX Club Sprint – Lap Record Hat Trick
In less than ideal track conditions Clayton managed to set a new WRX Club Open Class record with a time of 1:19.30. This is the third straight club circuit lap record for the AVO WRX this season.
Preparation for Sandown included some general suspension maintenance and the addition of a LinkPlus G3 ECU. The LinkPlus G3 is the latest in high-end aftermarket engine management and the result of about 15 years of research and development. |
